Abstract

The development of information technology drives the need for efficient and reliable data storage infrastructure. This study aims to design a mini data center using the Project Life Cycle (PLC) method. PLC was chosen because of its systematic approach, encompassing five main stages: initiation, planning, implementation, control, and closure. The mini data center was built using the Ubuntu Desktop 22.0 TLS operating system, with technology integration such as Proxmox, Samba, Putty, and WinSCP. This system is also equipped with an automatic backup feature using Synology Drive and external hard disks. The results of the study indicate that the PLC method is effective in building a structured and ready-to-use system, and can minimize the risk of errors during the implementation process.
