Abstract

The need for an efficient information system to manage sales transactions is becoming increasingly urgent, especially for small businesses such as grocery stores. This study aims to develop a sales information system based on the Apriori algorithm to analyze consumer purchasing patterns at Toko Sembako Berkah. A case study approach was used, applying data mining techniques to identify frequent itemsets and association rules from available transaction data. The results show that the Apriori algorithm successfully uncovered purchasing patterns, such as the product combination {Cooking Oil → Granulated Sugar} with 45% support and 78% confidence. The developed system proved useful in assisting store owners in making decisions related to inventory management. This research contributes theoretically to the application of data mining in small-scale businesses and provides practical value in digitizing sales information systems based on real-world needs.
