Abstract

The Republic of Indonesia is an archipelagic country with abundant natural resources and a population engaged in various occupations. Both public and private employees typically reside in busy areas or city centers. The daily lives of urban residents, often filled with the hustle and bustle of the city and demanding work descriptions, can lead to feelings of boredom. To overcome this, people usually turn to hobbies, which are activities they enjoy to relieve boredom and calm their minds. Hobbies can range from sports and entertainment to other leisure activities. In this study, the author will discuss a hobby related to entertainment that can be done at home: keeping fish in an aquarium. When maintaining fish, keeping them in an aquarium requires proper care and attention. Many factors need to be considered, such as the cleanliness of the aquarium, water quality, and feeding schedule, to ensure the fish remain healthy and prevent potential losses for the aquarium owner. Given these considerations, aquarium owners need a schedule to manage these tasks efficiently. To address this, an automatic fish feeder can be implemented to dispense food at predetermined times, as set by the aquarium owner. Using a 180º servo motor programmed with Arduino and a DS3231 module, the microcontroller processes the input to rotate the servo motor according to the specified schedule.
